nursing advice. The home nurse provides only medical care and does not perform the tasks of a carer or social worker (e.g. cleaning, preparing meals, shopping, changing nappies, washing). At the same time, the home nurse works as part of a team, where the doctor and the social worker work together to find the best solution for the patient if additional help is needed.
- Requirements:
registration with the Health Board: home nurse must be registered as a nurse with the Health Board; previous experience as a nurse; willingness to work in a team - close cooperation with doctors and social workers. Independence and responsibility - the home nurse makes decisions within the limits of her/his competence and is able to recognise situations where other professionals need to be involved. The home nurse provides nursing care alone with the client. Empathy and good communication skills - good communication skills with clients and their relatives are essential. Ability to cope with pressure - the work can be mentally and physically demanding.

Continuing education - 60 AP per year to keep your knowledge and skills up to date; reimbursement for the use of a personal car; a supportive and friendly team - in difficult situations, home nurses are not alone, they can always get advice and support from colleagues or the management.
Regular team meetings and joint events - sharing experiences and discussing difficult cases. A stable income.
