Tallinn Old Town Walking Tour

The walking tour of Tallinn Old Town will start at the Mövenpick Hotel. Participants who wish may walk back to the hotel with the guide after the tour. The tour will be conducted in English.
   
We then explore Tallinn’s medieval Old Town, entering through the Viru Gates. Along Müürivahe Street and the Katariina Passage, the guide shares stories of the Dominican monastery and highlights local artisan workshops.

At Town Hall Square, we see the Gothic Town Hall and the 600-year-old Raeapteek pharmacy, discussing Hanseatic trade and its parallels with today’s EU. Nearby, we pass medieval merchant houses, the Olde Hansa warehouse, and authentic Estonian handicraft shops.

The walk continues up Long Leg Street to Toompea Hill, where Estonia’s Parliament is located. Here we reflect on historical power relations between church and state, and enjoy panoramic views from the upper town.

We descend via Short Leg Street and return to the hotel through the charming Old Town streets.

The Tallinn Bus Tour

The Tallinn Bus Tour will depart from the Mövenpick Hotel. The tour will be conducted in English.
   
The Tallinn Bus Tour begins at Mövenpick Hotel and provides a rich overview of the city, passing through diverse districts. We head first to Kadriorg, home to the 18th-century Kadriorg Palace, the President’s Palace, and KUMU – Estonia’s leading art museum. While some sights aren’t visible from the bus, the guide offers insightful background stories.

We’ll pass the Song Festival Grounds and learn about Estonia’s UNESCO-listed Song Festival tradition. The tour continues along Pirita seaside road, passing Maarjamäe History Museum and Memory Field, with commentary on Tallinn’s life today and its title as the 2023 EU Green Capital.

In Kalamaja, Tallinn’s oldest suburb, we’ll explore early 20th-century industrial history and wooden architecture. A highlight is the Seaplane Harbour Museum, housed in globally unique reinforced concrete hangars.

On the way back, we pass the stylish and modern Noblessner quarter.

Bogshoe Hike

Time: 6 September 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
Duration: 4 hours
Price: €80
Min. participants: 15. Please note that pre-registration is required. 

The bus departures from Mövenpick Hotel at 10:00 a.m. The hike will take place in Kõnnu Suursoo. On a bogshoe hike, you will discover the pristine nature of Estonia, enjoy fresh and clean air and tone your body. Bogshoes help to take you to places you can’t reach with hiking boots or rubber boots alone.

  • Bring a water bottle and, if desired, an energy-rich snack.
  • We also offer a drink and snacks during the hike.
  • Please specify special needs when making the inquiry and confirm them with the guide before the hike.
  • A participant must be aware of his/her personal capabilities and health condition.
  • Our bogshoes are suitable for footwear sizes between 36-50 and their carrying capacity is 50-120 kg.
  • Dress according to the weather forecast and your own comfort level.
  • Layered clothing should be preferred so that you could remove or add layers as required.
  • We recommend wearing high-cut hiking boots or rain boots (without heels).
  • Possible to rent rubber boots. Price: 5 EUR + VAR.
